Profile
Isah Byarugaba
Isah is an experienced legal executive and corporate governance professional whose career spans aviation, banking and finance, construction and infrastructure, mining and natural resources, regulatory affairs, complex commercial transactions and dispute resolution.
He is President for Legal and Governance at RMC, an Advocate and a member of the Rwanda Bar Association and the East African Law Society.
Before founding RW Legal Partners, he served as Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary of RwandAir. In that role, he advised on corporate governance, aviation regulation, complex commercial agreements, legal and reputational risk, aircraft acquisitions, aviation insurance and matters involving multiple jurisdictions.
His earlier experience includes senior legal roles at Equity Bank Rwanda PLC, where he worked on major financing transactions, banking, debt recovery and litigation; serving as General Counsel and Company Secretary of Real Contractors Ltd; and contributing to legal and institutional frameworks in Rwanda’s mining and natural-resources sector.
